Orientation 2023-2024 Welcome to Your School Library!
Library Hours:
Monday thru Friday Periods 1,2,4,5,6,7 and 8
Please come during your lunch or free periods to read, borrow books, use Microsoft Office, play board games, use the Internet for research and for fun.
Borrowing Rules:
Your student ID is your Library Card. You may borrow one book for three weeks, however you may renew and place material on hold.
Library Rules:
1. All students must show ID or Library Lunch Pass when entering the library.
2. There is no food, drinks or gum chewing allowed.
3. Students are allowed to play computer games, watch videos and to use your personal devices on mute or with headphones.
*****Note* School work takes priority over other activities on school computers.
4. Please ask Mrs. Lewis before you print.
5. You must remain in the library the entire period.

Breaking News!!! Queens Public Library will no longer charge late fines. They are also clearing all existing late fines on accounts. If you have lost material you must pay, however students can participate in Read Down Your Fees to clear your account. NYPL and Brooklyn Public Library are also no longer charging fines as well. Yay!!!!

Juneteenth Brooklyn Public Library
Today, to celebrate and encourage discussion about Juneteenth the Walt Whitman branch of the Brooklyn Library between 10am-2:45pm is providing weekly grab and go kits for children, teens and adults. No registration is required but supplies are limited.
